P.R.A.-1 Cortegana-El Hurón-Aroche

Une Cortegana y Aroche pasando por la aldea, hoy abandonada de El Hurón, y es el de mayor longitud de todos los aquí reseñados, siendo la duración de la excursión de aproximadamente seis horas. Comienza en Cortegana , al igual que su variante P.R.A-1-2, junto a la ermita de El Calvario y entra en Aroche por el llamado Alto de los Méndez.

It unites Cortegana and Aroche passing through the abandonned village of  El Ferret, and is the longest one of all reviewed here, being the duration of the walk of approximately six hours. It begins in Cortegana, as  P.R.A-1-2 variant, next to the hermitage of El Calvario and enters Aroche by the Alto  of the Méndez.

P.R.A-2 El Pontón-Aroche

También podemos caminar hasta Aroche por este otro sendero, llamado Camino Viejo de Aroche, de trayecto más corto que el anterior y que parte de la carretera nacional 433, en el punto kilométrico 82,5 a 1 Km. de Cortegana en dirección a Portugal. Accede al barrio alto de Aroche, La Torre, por La Serrana con una impresionante vista del pueblo y de la Vega del Chanza.

We can walk until Aroche by this other footpath, called Old Way of Aroche, shorter than the previous one and that leaves from state highway 433, in kilometric point 82.5 to 1 Km. of Cortegana in the direction of Portugal. It accedes to the high district of Aroche, the Tower, by the Mountain  with an impressive Vista of the town and the Fertile valley of the Chanza.

Este sendero nos lleva a La Nava hasta el cruce de la carretera local con el carril que lleva a la ermita de Las Virtudes, saliendo, en Cortegana, del final de la calle Eritas B, en la barriada de Las Colonias. Se tardan unas tres horas y media aproximadamente en recorrer sus diez kilómetros, pasando junto a la antigua Posada de Arrieros, siendo acompañados durante gran parte del trayecto por el Arroyo Carabañas hasta su confluencia con El Caliente, que también atravesamos.

This footpath takes us to the Nava to the crossing of the local highway with the track that takes to the hermitage of the Virtudes, leaving, in Cortegana, at the end of the street Eritas B, in the quarter of the Colonias. It takes, approximately, three hours to cross their ten kilometers.  It passes near the old Inn of Arrieros, and during a long part of  the way we walk beside  the Carabañas Stream until their confluence with El Caliente,  that we also crossed.

It takes to Jabugo passing through Canalejas and the Romeros. It has, like the previous one, a length of approximately ten kilometers. It leaves at the end of the Sevilla street, which is continued by Cuesta de Carabañas. Almost all the section until Canalejas passes by asphalt road, that's the reason why it can also starts in this village or in the Station of Almonaster, as the passage between both points has few rolled traffic. The end of this way is El LLano, today called Plaza of the Constitution,  Jabugo.

P.R.A-5 Cortegana - Almonaster

A través de El Cincho y Las Veredas, une Almonaster y Cortegana, comenzando en esta población al final de la calleja La Gitanesca, cercana a la plaza de toros. Tiene aproximadamente siete kilómetros de longitud que se recorren en unas dos horas. Del punto kilométrico 6,200 de la carretera que une ambas poblaciones, donde termina, empieza la variante P.R.A-5-2, de parecida longitud, que sube a San Cristóbal, de donde, a través de las aldeas de Arroyo y Acebuches, lleva de nuevo al Cincho

Through El Cincho and Las Veredas, it unites Almonaster and Cortegana, beginning in this population at the end of the narrow street La Gitanesca, near the bullring. It has approximately seven kilometers in length that are crossed in two hours. From kilometric point 6.200 of the highway that unites both populations, where the P.R.A-5-2 variant finishes, begins, of similar length, that raises San Cristóbal, of where, through the villages of Arroyo and Acebuches, takes to El Cincho again.
