Things to do

• At the beach you can rent kayaks and pedalo boats.

• Have a trip on the power boat “Splash”

• Take a tour on the Glass Bottom Boat to visit the caves

• Take the Glass Bottom Boat to go to the “Cala Giverola” (a Beach named Giverola) and spend the day there. Take the same boat back to Tossa in the afternoon.

• Take a bigger boat along the coast, to the north or to the south, to one of the neighbouring places. The trip northward, direction Sant Feliu, is particularly worth seeing.

• There are some diving schools in Tossa.

• Tossa has also an indoor swimming pool with sauna and gym

• Every Thursday is market day. Lloret market is on Tuesdays and Blanes market on Mondays. You can go to these places by bus.

• Each Sunday there is a very big market in a town called “Tordera”. You can go there by car or with a trip organized by one of the travel agencies here in Tossa.

• There are plenty footpaths through the hills nearby. Not very far away you can find an enclosure with “domestic” wild boars. You can get maps at the Tourist Information Office. Sometimes walking tours are organized by this office.

• You can rent a bicycle, a moped, a motor scooter or a quad.

• You can play mini golf.

• Play Tennis

• You can play paintball

• If it rains there is an indoor playground for the little children at the Hotel Rovira.

• You can read your emails or surf the internet in one of the Internet Cafes. For example in the Bar Playa at the sea front near the castle.

• Walk up the castle, half the way up there is an Ava Gardner statue (the film Pandora was filmed here in Tossa). Visit the audiovisual tour in the lighthouse.

• In the town there are some Bars with British Satellite TV, for watching football for example.

• Have a drink in the Night Club “Tahiti”. Good live music. Don’t drink too much, it is not cheap!

• To make by car or with a trip organized by one of the travel agencies in town:

• Drive along the road from Tossa to Sant Feliu. One of the most beautiful roads in Spain. On the half distance you can leave this road and drive up to “Sant Grau”. Where you will have great views.

• Visit the water park “Water World” in Lloret de Mar or the Delfinarium  “Marineland” near Blanes.

• There are plenty golf courses in Cataluña. For example in Lloret: Club de Golf Angel de Lloret and in Santa Cristina D’Aro: Club de Golf Costa Brava.

• Visit the Dali museum in Figueras

• Visit the botanic garden in Blanes.

• You can find plenty ceramic shops and factories in a town called “La Bisbal”.

• Spend a day in Barcelona. You can find nearly everything there, plenty museums, an aquarium, a zoo, the famous fountains (in the evenings), the FC Barcelona stadium, the Cathedral “Sagrada Familia, the Ramblas, etc. etc.

• Take the “Bus Turistic” there. You can go in and out as often as you like.

• Be careful with the pick pockets. And in certain places make sure you look at the prices of food & drinks before you enter the place, so that you are not “ripped off”.

• The Pyrenees and Andorra are not far away from Tossa.
